West of Mallwyd

If this is your first real landscape, some of us are going to have to look out - the trees are very well done, there's a good spread of light and shade, and the whole picture works - keep the momentum going.

I have loved browsing your portfolio - prompted by your kind response to my first painting. Thank you for your comment on my apples. I have copied my response this here because I didn't know if you would get back to it. It is so exciting to find that I have some comments. Thank you very much. I wasn't sure of the picture because everyone else in the class did conventional apples! Next week we are starting landscapes. We have been asked to consider Turner and Constable but I am going to take in your 'Cornish Cliffs' Satu, Chris' 'Life's a Beach' and Stephen's 'West of Mallwyd' - if that is OK with you three. Does anyone know if the painters-online site has a place to store favourites? I don't know if this gets back to you so will put it in your portfolios too.

As I only started painting in January this year I am amazed that I can be included in the same sentence as Turner and Constable! Yes, please do take in West of Mallwyd, that was my first landscape ever! Don't think you can store favourites, but I could be wrong. Good luck with your art class.
