Would this be gouache? There&#39;s a lot of texture in your tin church - the light really catches it. For my taste, I&#39;d have liked you to tidy up the building on the left a bit - I realize you might have wanted it not to conflict as a centre of interest, but it conflicts anyway because it&#39;s not so well painted as the church, or that scroll work on top of the posts, on which you&#39;ve lavished a fair amount of attention (and done it well).<br /><br />Knowing when to stop (and when to carry on) is always difficult, of course...<br /><br />

It looks like gouache; great style going on here Stephen, I love the patterning of the trees on the left.

All the work is created digitally painting by hand on a touch screen notebook using the app &#39;Fresh Paint&#39;. I tend to use the oil brush which is totally opaque &amp; therefore looks a bit like gouache.
