Which I think you won Stephen this is lovely.

I noticed the greens the first thing on the page Stephen and they are very very good! Such variety and the light on top of the trees is magnificent. Well worth the struggle!

Thanks for your comments Satu and Anne.

So many of us battle with greens - you've won the fight here, but if it helps at all, I find that the fewer mixes you make, the better - I don't generally use a ready-made green in watercolour, and find I get the best results with ultramarine, a cold blue like pthalo or Prussian, a warm yellow like Cadmium, and Yellow Ochre and Raw Sienna: I can get a huge array of greens from those colours, whereas once I start introducing, eg, pthalo green, viridian, sap green, and so on, things start to go pear-shaped.

Thanks Robert for your comments, I also prefer to mix my greens with blues and yellows, the only other yellow I use is lemon.

Fresh and light, well done Stephen!

The master of green's has done it again! Well done Stephen you've got them just right.

many thanks once again Fiona.

Gosh - you're a brave man with, as you say, all those greens. I think you have tackled them really well as there is a great variety in tone and shade, which really makes the painting.

Thanks Thea for your kind remarks.
