How do you like drawing with a brush? Do you normally use pencil? I think this piece would be even better with a little more focal point....

Thanks for commenting Cheryl, I was using the pot amongst the bluebells as the focal point but I should have given it more strength, good to have anothers view. I went to a watercolour workshop last weekend and the teachers main point was that drawing with a pencil can result in overdetailed work. So we all obeyed and used a rigger to give a lighter,more sketchy line. It does seem to lead to a 'freer' painting but it's early days yet!

Very interesting on drawing with the rigger...I think I will try it! Thanks for the info...

First garden pic of the year! I continued my experiment of drawing with a brush rather then a pencil. i think it is a little looser?
