Great reflections Stephen, nice subdued palette.

Thanks Sharon, it's little touches like the positioning of the puddles to allow the reflections of the two poles that separates the top painters like Wesson from the rest. The original is in Ron Ranson's book 'the art of Edward Wesson'.

Well copied Stephen with you own 'take' on the piece

A lovely tribute to the master Stephen the puddle reflections sell the painting ... I to have the Ranson book on Wesson it's a lovely book with some beautiful works

Great effect achieved as well Stephen, it can only help to get inspiration from these great artists.

Well done Stephen, lovely painting indeed

Many thanks everyone for your very kind comments, much appreciated.

Good work...I particularly like the trees on the right.

Great work Stephen, the reflection especially.

Thanks Fiona, good bit of planning by E.W. here, must remember that trick!

Tried to copy this 'simple' Edward Wesson watercolour at the art group earlier.

About the Artist
Stephen Slater

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
