I must agree that it's easier to paint loosely from the imagination. And the same goes for me at least when painting in the open - I feel I am too influenced by the detail in front of me. anyway this works well Stephen.

Another imaginary piece, again a quick drawing with the rigger and loose washes added wet in wet. I find it really difficult to paint this loosely from a photo.
