Well painted Stephen - it's always surprising how in a room full of artists there will never be two the same.

Not a thing we can do about it lovely Stephen

Many thanks Michael and Dennis, I suppose P.O.L. Would be pretty boring if we all painted the same!

Completely different Stephen, more wet in wet.....good stuff though.

As it must Stephen - now which version do I prefer. Both very good.

Many thanks Fiona and Derek. I'm sure the original is much nearer to the real scene, perhaps why it's rare that I get asked to do commissions!

Very attractive, Stephen, I like the light beyond the bridge, rather ethereal. Lovely wet and watery technique.

I like the softness that you have achieved here, Stephen, and the subtlety of the palette. The water is particularly good. As you say, it's quite fascinating really, how we all eventually develop a style of our own, even when we copy someone else. This was instantly recognisable as one of yours.

Amazing and Beautiful Stephen, great painting :)

Thought I would have a quick go at the. Image Michael Edwards posted earlier. Interesting that even when we copy our own style comes out.

About the Artist
Stephen Slater

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
