What a great subject and painting Stephen , a wonderful tribute to the masterful Ray Campbell Smith, I could not agree with you more that he was one of the best English watercolorists, loved his limited palette, tonal splendours and exquisite transparency too. I managed to collect some of his old videos and many books after a long search. I hope that you would paint more of his subjects

Painted this watercolour at the art group this afternoon, from a Ray Campbell Smith book. I think he was one the best loose, free English watercolourist’s.
