Agree with Louise - the washes are well rendered and the anchoring of the boat in the foreground really adds to the punch of the whole piece.

Ah very nice. I love soft edge paintings as like this one they generate great atmosphere and painting wet on wet is as you probably know very difficult to pull off - which I think you have. The boat is perfect and the inclusion of birds also works very well.
