Very peaceful, calm scene and the addition of the boat adds a focal point and looks good. Also, like the large tree colour on the right side and the detail hinted at in the foliage.

You have managed to convey the distance across the lake very well Stephen, something I personally always find difficult to do. And the boat is just the right size to emphasize that. Altogether a nice composition and well painted.

You are right, Stephen. This is better. I like the red spot of the boat and the foreground bush. It gives more depth. Well done!

I decided to modify this one, I thought the dark tree in the the centre was too strong, so washed that out a bit, added the foreground bush / flowers and the sail boat ( sometimes there are boats on the lake). I think prefer it now.
