White buildings are hard, but I think your smooth and gentle treatment of them here has worked really well. How you have painted them is a little unusual and all the better for that in my book as it adds a different slant on how to depict these buildings. Lovely scene and very attractively done.

I agree with Thea about about your treatment of the walls. For what it's worth I usually stick to a smidgen of either cobalt blue or raw sienna - i pop a few dabs here and there on the well and then soften around the edges with a wet brush - this way you don't get a uniform colour (albeit it pale) across the wall which adds to the interest.
