I've got the same solar lights in my garden!! Recognised them straight away. Lovely little vignette of your garden - won't be long before you can get out there and get stuck into the gardening again.

A lovely piece, Stephen. Hope the weather improves soon.

I see I'm not alone in thinking about the garden! I bought some seeds the other day and my propagater is getting a dust off. Great little sketch stephen.

Many thanks all for your kind words. The garden needs a good tidy, will have to stir myself soon - much easier to draw it though!

I think just about everyone has those solar lights in their gardens in one shape or another, and they are probably all just about stuck in pots like that, this is lovely work Stephen

Thanks once again Ros.

Nice washes in the sky and understated trees and walls in the background so that they don't detract from the pots and lights in the foreground which I assume are what you wanted the viewer to concentrate on. ? more tonal contrast in these objects would draw more attention to them. You know I keep going on about the use of tone but ignore me if you don't agree because I know from the gallery that many don't use tone as one of their design parameters

Thanks for your constructive comments once again Alan, I think I will strengthen the pots and perhaps add a little pen work to sharpen them.

A very dull day but I quite enjoyed painting this quick watercolour sketch.
