Stephen I think the far hills and bank of trees are good the trees getting nearer as you move right with good tonal change and definition. I find the left hand bank jumping forward with a tone much stronger than the foreground and the right hand bank could perhaps have the overall warm broken up with some cooler colours and varied shapes. What about stronger reflections and strengthening the foreground to bring it forward ? Hope this isn.t too much but it is what I want as feedback to my own submissions.

I like the water Stephen with the blues of the sky being picked up in the foreground. You've certainly caught that damp Yorkshire day feeling!

Lovely bucolic scene topped by a brilliant sky.

It's interesting how we all view paintings in different ways, many thanks everyone. Your comments are always well received Alan, I think you are certainly right that the foreground tones should be stronger.

Love the pristine clear atmosphere, Stephen. Well done!

Stephen you're getting right what I'm failing to achieve at the moment and that is, making use of distance and space. Love your faded hills and distant/righthand trees, the sky and water mirror one another, but I have to agree with Alan re the foreground, maybe a darker tone would make the perfect picture?

Many thanks once again for your comments, Seok and Fiona.

Thanks once again Glennis, I really liked the fox you did recently.

Beautiful water again, Stephen.

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
