An Autumn Walk, Rochdale Canal / A

Really like the fading colours in the distance, a promise of a lovely day tomorrow. Although I think we would all like rain actually! :))

Lovely treatment of the background especially that soft pink Stephen, I think you have done well by not giving the water too much attention which keeps the eye on the path and figures. A difficult one as the path and canal will always compete for attention.

Many thanks for your encouraging thoughts, Carole and Barry. Good point about the canal and path competing Barry, I must admit I just concentrated on the scene in the photo! Interesting to compare the the two photographs. This second one is taken in daylight, it is much closer to the actual painting than the first which was taken in the evening under electric lights.
