These spontaneous sketches, done quickly, always have a feeling of life about them. This is great and I don't blame you for staying in the warm. Whoever invented plein air painting obviously didn't live in the UK!

thanks Thea, good point about the outdoor work, no coincidence that the Impressionists all seemed to go to the South of France! Wish I was there at the moment.

I was going to go into the town, shopping but it's blowing a gale so I thought it was a sign to stay in and I did this quickly in an A4 sketchbook. From a photo I took a couple of years ago. Straight in with the brush, more enjoyable than being battered by the wind! More snow expected, so it will probably look like this tomorrow.
