Lovely work Stephen it will soon be warmer and it's good to imagine

Have you just used two or three colours here Stephen and if you don't mind saying, what were they? If you can remember that is, I'm never actually sure what I used! I ask because they look good.

Many thanks Dennis and Louise. I drew this out with ink and then thought I would try Paynes Grey to tie in with Black ink. I used PG for the sky and used it with Burnt Sienna and Raw Sienna for the trees and bushes. I did use some Ultra and Pthalo blue with the Raw Sienna for the grass areas. I have since laid a PG and RS shadow over the foreground, which I think has improved things a little. I think that's right anyway Louise, as you say it's hard to remember afterwards!

Love the light and atmosphere of the piece, Stephen, and the lovely tones. Beautifully done!

Ideas - the bane of my artistic life - that's probably why I like doing the villages as there are there in abundance.

LOL Stephen, not only is it hard to remember which colours I used, I had to think for a minute then what PG was! An age thing? My age just given away when talking about Rowntrees spring gardens etc. Thanks for the info, I might try these colours as I rarely use Burnt or Raw Sienna.

Many thanks Seok, Michael and Louise for your encouragement.

Another quick line and wash from imagination, must either 'get out more' or get some more ideas!
