Nice painting Stephen it certainly does have atmosphere i like the red coat very good.

Many thanks Micheal and Dennis for your encouraging comments. I.am enjoying trying to paint simply and freely at the moment, I used to paint this way some years ago and then moved on to painting in a more detailed way, I enjoy the simple approach much more.

Line and wash from an old photo, in a very small moleskin watercolour journal (which is very good for quick holiday sketching). Tried to keep the freshness of my recent sketches from imagination.
