Built to last nice softness here Stephen and great subtle colour and overlapping

Nice diffused look about this watercolour

Many thanks Dennis and Dermot, although I think the softness is partly due to the poor quality of the photo!

A lovely painting Stephen! The water looks inviting and the house is brilliantly painted.

Many thanks Sarah, the building is now the Rochdale 'Touchstones' art gallery and museum, which is very good. They are currently working on opening up a section of the bridge to show a medieval bridge which lies under the vast Victorian one. Apparently there are nine bridges in total under the 'new' one.

The Victorians built the widest bridge in Euorope across the River Roche in the centre of Rochdale, it carries a very wide road and space in front of Rochdales fine town hall.

About the Artist
Stephen Slater

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
