Lovely effect of bare winter trees. Did you do it on blue paper or is that the photo affecting the tone of the paper?

Many thanks Glennis and Thea. Yes Thea, it must be the photographic process that gives the blue effect, as the paper is smooth white cartridge paper, A4 size.

Smashing sketch Stephen, can you see more of the building now you have thinned the branches? It seems that way from previous sketches.

An ink sketch, looking from my patio door into the garden. I have had the trees thinned out a bit to hopefully to a bit more light. I found it a bit hard to get all the different tones and textures with just the pen, interesting though.
