I love your scribbled sketch Stephen! The colours seem much more vibrant thatnyour usual park paintings. Is it a more colourful place?

Agreed lovely colours Stephen and a sense of the bandstand with its ironwork

Many thanks Fiona and Ros. I think it looks stronger because of the green and red foliage.

Just proves that the 'rules' are there to be broken - in this the third rule - works so well in this simple spontaneous sketch

Many thanks Michael and Carole for your kind comments. By the way the strange foreground creatures were a couple from a large flock of Canada Geese who were feeding on the grass. I was a bit wary of them!

Fresh and clean, with lively lines. Well done, Stephen!

Thanks Seok, it was a very attractive scene.

I like these quick spontaneous paintings Stephen! They give the viewer something to work on by only giving the impression. Well done!

Many thanks Satu for your kind comments, much appreciated.

Another quicky from my trip to Alexandra Park on Friday. The banstand is a fine, Victorian iron structure, which my scribbled skatch has not done justice to.
