Many thanks everyone for your encouraging comments, which are much appreciated. I really like using Inktense pencils for small sketches and paintings. I find them much more transparent than the traditional watercolour pencils. You can buy them individually or in packs of 12 or 24 (I think) and also in blocks, similar to square pastels. They are made by Derwent.
