To my eye this works very well Linda. I think its the simplicity of the shapes, and great eye contact.

Agree with John..those eyes and the angle of her shoulders are perfect.

Thanks John and Louise. In a way it is hard to make portraits look different in pastel, because you always have limited colours to work with. But strangely the milky tone of her skin and come out well with white on grey paper, not yellow as you might expect.
