This is really superb Sophie, so atmospheric and a wonderful style.

Very fine too, great washes.

You're a painter who really knows her medium - you have created beautifully soft washes here: the very common corollary of that is vague, misty work without strong edges, but you have achieved sharpness and strength without becoming even slightly fussy and over-detailed. This is so good .... I've wondered why it appeals to me so strongly, and can only conclude that I know a great watercolourist when I see one.

Another super watercolour Sophie, those thin branches are so hard to do I find. Lovely varied marks and spatter on the path and slopes, I don't think I have heard such high praise from Robert but he is right, this is wonderful wok, hope you will post many more.

Thank you, Stephen. I am blown away by all the lovely comments. I use the end if my paint tube dipped in a wash to paint the branches

This is beautiful, Sophie, lovely colours, and the foreground tree is so well painted.

Lovely loose piece of work and very atmospheric.
