Painted using watercolour with credit card and brush strokes, I wanted to get across a feel of the old town vs the arcades which sweep across our South Bay. The old town cottages huddled together under the gloom of the medieval castle and church with the arcades standing firm at the front of the scene - almost marching forward on their take-over bid of the ancient and traditional.
