This could never be a photograph (sorry James) there is too much soul in this rose for the camera to catch. Only a true artist could paint such a lovely rose with the sunlight just touching it's heart, allowing us to see it's perfection. Beautiful. And the smaller one in the background compliments the foreground rose perfectly

14X18 Oil on Canvas. This is my Ode to Valentines Everywhere. You might also call it "When In Doubt, Give Her Roses" (2) The last Rose I painted was all texture & brushstrokes, so this time, I went for a much more Realistic look.
