Another stunning painting. Are the patterns in the clothing invented, or are they actual traditional decoration? I have always been drawn to richly embroidered Indian textiles, and your paintings have an equal richness.

Thanks a lot Julie once again. Actually Madhubani arts are traditionally painted on clothes, papers, wall and mostly the subject is Hindu God/Godess Radha-Krishna. Traditionally natural colours of flowers and leaves are used to paint such arts. But now water colour, poster colour or even acrylic can be used. They indeed were used to decorate house/wall of newly married couple as a symbol of love and sexual act.

This is my first ever Modhuboni art (a 17 by 12 inches work). This is a water colour drawing on paper with typical modhuboni style, I have reproduced being inspired by the art ''Indian beauty'' by modhuboni artist Vidhushini and uploaded on my website with her permission. http://madhubani.co.in/
