Hi Shirley this is a nice little painting it proves that anything painted properly can be beautiful.

I agree with Dennis - it's so very nicely done. I like the vibrant marks and the merging of hues in the background that keep it muted yet interesting - a very fitting backdrop for the solid form and dramatic color of the shoe.

Thankyou very much Dennis and Seok. I nearly didn't post it, as it seemed so strange when I finished it!

And why not? My liking for accuracy, something I try to overcome a lot, just tends me to say the heel is at a slightly wrong angle, but I like the whole effect.

Thanks Derek. I know the heel looks wrong but it is in fact like that. It is a Chinese dancing shoe, and the heel is at a slightly odd angle.
