Excellent painting of the boats and the foreground, Shayne. This is a very interesting painting to look round, good lights and shadows. The distant birds look good, but maybe the large bird is a bit too big? Looks not quite right - maybe it's an eagle? I like the range of paintings in your portfolio, some lovely ideas.

Sorry Pat, have you seen the latest crop of snack stealing gulls? It is OK in my eyes. The scene has a 3D effect to me. The details and cliff is good too

Thank you for your kind comments.....I was hoping to make the larger gull look closer to the viewer to add to the paintings depth as Derek says lol, but that's what I love about art......everybody has a different perception. Although I would love to see an eagle at Hastings!
