Lindisfarne by Shaun Jones

This is curious. Once you see the castle you can't 'unsee' it, but until you do it is quite lost again the bright patch of sky that looks a little like the mirror image of Cyprus. Once the mind sees the castle and the dark clouds, however, it is really rather attractive. I prefer this to the b&w version where I thought the boats distracted the eye.

Clever, clever, clever

This is really clever - although for me the castle needs to be darker. Perhaps including in your dark blue layer would tie it in with the causeway and make it stand out more?

Very true about unseeing the castle. Cool. That effect and the two radiating banks of cloud are the stars. Colour-wise the only thing that jars is the strip of dark blue at the very top.

Lindisfarne Linocut 21 x 29.7 Edition of 13 Colour version of my previous print Lindisfarne Castle. If I'm being honest i prefer the black and white version. I think I need to plan these better colour wise.
