Vibrant, harmonious and vigorously applied colours-I really like it.

Really like this Shaun, lovely bold and vibrant!!

Love the colours and brushwork in this image.

I love drawing little clusters of farm buildings and houses, splendid multi-layering of paint Shaun.

Absolutely stunning landscape Shaun. Love your use of colour.

Like this a lot Shaun - the colours work extremely well too.

Thank you - Leslie, Linda, David, Alan, Fiona and Heather.

Love the colours in this.

Love the brushwork and the stunning palette. A show-stopping piece.

Jenny, John and Seok - Thank you.

Love this entirely

Love the colours here Shaun. This reminds me of Van God’s work, it has the same strength and lovely rhythm to it. Don’t stop painting flowers, your recent rose painting was a work of beauty and skill and textural wizardry.

Sorry Shaun that should be Van Gogh.

Hi Carole such a perceptive response to this painting. You have completely understood my dilemma regarding painting. Do I continue with landscapes or the large studies of flowers? I suppose the answer is do what feels right and your comment has been really helpful. Thank you.

Many thanks Hilary.

Lovely brushstrokes that gave lots of energy. Beautiful colour choice.

Thank you Georgiana.

About the Artist
Shaun Byatt

I try to achieve vibrant colours in my paintings. I work intuitively with large flat brushes - I also try not to overwork my pictures and they are often completed in two sittings. I use good quality acrylics because of their excellent pigment content. I like to interpret what i see in front of me…
