Smashing scene and subject for this technique. I'll check this view over next weekend when visiting. I loved using a knife in oils...when I could.

Like anything else it comes down to practice with the knife Sharon, This is good just keep going. I think the area with the cliffs and building with the subtle colours works very well. I would work on the grays,look for the colour in them. It looks a bit steel gray in the background. Good composition and I love that shadow cast by the rock.

This is my fourth painting using a palette knife, this style is in contrast to my detailed watercolour work, I like not having the precise control like you do with a brush, would appreciate any feedback good or bad thanks.
