Not only do they hate the camera, they're not patient with the sketchbook, either; my (sadly late) German Shepherd watched me intently when I started to draw her, then got bored, stuck her sizeable snout beneath my sketch-pad, and in one imperious movement swept it several feet into the air - then sat back with an air of triumph I found strangely irritating..... it's humiliating, being laughed at by a dog. Great hairy thug......
