This is an interesting way of working, but I suppose it is just another kind of support like cotten or linen. I assume you have to prime it in the same way. Do you use different colours of tweed? You're getting some very dramatic effects with this technique. I suspect they are even more rich in colour than the photographs suggest.

Thank you both for the comments:-) The tweed is indeed my 'canvas' and I have developed my own system of working with it, so that my chosen medium merges with the tweed's own special hues. The photographs do not fully capture the effects of each layer, or iridescent media as in reality the works change depending on the viewers stance.
