Beautifully painted, beautiful flower and wonderful, wonderful greens! Many thanks too, Seok, for your comment on my recent posting.

This is lovely with wonderful greens! You really are too hard on yourself......well at least we're all here to appreciate and love what you do! Beautiful composition and colours.

I think you have won the battle of the 'greens' a really lovely painting

You have not lost the battle - this is lovely !

Nothing at all lacking in your 'greens', it's a beautiful delicate painting.

Thank you very much everyone! I'm grateful for your very kind comments about the greens, but I suspect the photo probably doesn't show the mud in all its ick! It's been a trial. It'll be a while before I attempt anything so ambitious again. I think I'll stick to oils when tackling greens and flowers.

Works beautifully, and I like this composition.

Oh Seok I think your greens are just fine and the mauve passion flower shows them up perfectly.I don't think you have to worry about watercolour greens ever again.

No trouble with your greens Seok. You have captured the fresh-looking green of these gorgeous flowers.

If that's you battling with greens then I am going to give up!!! Super greenery and such a beautifully painted flower. A perfect composition and painting.

Not a real lover of flower paintings - until I saw this that is - I am really taken with it.

I have grown these passionflowers Seok, and this is a superb painting, really caught my eye, well done

No way have you lost.In fact I don't see any evidence of a struggle never mind a battle !!Wonderful

Excellent painting Seok, the flower looks so delicate and beautiful

Thank you so very much, everyone! I really appreciate your encouragement for what I found to be a difficult piece.

We have these at the rear of a derelict and crumbling part of the house which fell victim to an ancient landslip; they were in a greenhouse which collapsed, but still hang on - this painting therefore means a lot to me; well observed - and were you worried about the greens? Well - you don't need to be!

Thank you so very much, Robert! I'm glad it struck a chord with you. They are lovely flowers. If only they didn't have so much green about them, but I suppose that's part of their charm! They're very invasive in our Singapore climate.

The Passionflowers are blooming profusely in my parents' garden, hence my continuing battle with the greens. I was about to name this painting Fatal Encounter to commemorate my losing battle....
