Beautifully painted, Seok. The colours you got it the elephants are perfect and I really like the gentle treatment you've given the water - very effective.

Very nice Seok. It's a peaceful scene and the water and elephant skin /hide (I'm no elephant expert so it could be either!) is very well painted.

This is a lovely painting Seok, lovely colours and it really portrays the tenderness of the mother towards her calf.

Love it, detailed in it's structure, but loose in the technique. I certainly admire your water-colours.

Ahhh this is beautiful Seok. A real beauty.

Brilliant Seok. Love the subtle colour changes on the elephants to show the highlights and shadows. Very effective water too

Outstanding talent souk. The subtle changes in tone and colours are beautifully done. The water is exquisite. Excellent. Though, i wouldn't shout too much about an elephant fetish - you'll get some strange looks!

Wow, very rich colour. Lovely piece!

Seok, love it, good subject and beautifully painted.

Beautifully painted Seok, your chosen palette is stunning.

As Chris and Tony have mentioned, the subtle way you have used the colour is fantastic.

A super painting Seok. You've caught the warm sun on their backs as they enjoy their paddle in that expertly painted water.

Love the shape of the elephants, always my favourite 'exotic' animal!

Very nice sensitive study Seok, you obviously have a love of elephants.

Excellent sttudy Seok. best Mick

Beautifully done, the figures are so well observed and the water is just right!

Thanks ever so much, everyone!

Really lovely Seok, The water is painted so well too.

This is so charming! Love the colours in the elephants hides and also I think your water is amazingly good - so hard to achieve in watercolour. Great work, Seok.

Really love this one! beautiful composition, colours, reflections,... well done Seok!

Beautiful elephants and wonderful water. Just perfect Seok :)

I agree with all the above comments but must add, allowing the light between the the calves front leg and the mothers left leg is brilliant, and as ever a great composition, well done Seok.

What a beautiufl, delicate and warm painting Seok! Those two look so peaceful together. I love it !

there is nothing wrong with an elephant fetish, Seok, lovely painting

Thanks so very much, everyone!

so cute......i love the ripples in the water............. just like a photo........beautiful

This is really lovely, the water is so well done and the elephants are perfect :)

Can't believe I never commented on any of your gorgeous work Seok, but I don't appear to have done on this one, so here is my belated one, this is a superbly delightful capturing of how we all want to see a little Elephant family, the adult with the baby going into the water and doesn't it just say so much about our feelings towards magnificent Elephants that even a back view of them like this says so much about the joy of family life in nature

Thank you so very much, Ruthy, Abigail and Ros!

I developed a sudden fetish for painting elephants after I visited the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka. Pinnewala was established to provide refuge to elephants orphaned or injured during clashes with villagers. This little calf was born as a result of a mating at Pinnewala itself and is thus technically not an orphan.
