Vinales is a little village in Cuba, in the Pinar del Rio province, named for the grapevines which the Spanish colonialists used to grow when they first came to Cuba - before they realised that the climate wasn't too conducive for vineyards and that it was more profitable to grow tobacco! Sketched the town center with an ink pen on location and tinted the sketch with watercolor in the comfort of my hotel room.
