Great portrait, the skin colours are so good. How versatile you are.

Full or warmth and character, very well done.

Agree with Lesley. I really like the warm expressions and glowing faces. Well done!!

Thank you everyone for your very kind comments. It is especially encouraging because it is my first serious attempt at portraiture. It's a subject I've been avoiding for a long time, and have finally decided to take the bull by the horns.

I too have avoided portraiture for years - but inspired by your example, I must have a go at it. A pleasing, relaxed portrait.

Thanks very much, Robert! I don't pretend that I'm a convert to this genre after this painting, but I also recognize that it is something that will stretch my observational skills and dexterity of hand, so I will persist in a few more pieces. My art teacher thinks I should concentrate on portraiture for a year. Let's see if I have the staying power!

Well after this warm and wonderfull portrait I would be inclined to agree with your art teacher, Portraiture I think is the most difficult discipline but when you get it right its just magical.

Like this - full of love and life! You have really captured it all.

Gorgeous dual portrait Seok, their closeness is clear to see

Thanks so very much, Ros!

Thanks very much, Helen!
