Ginger-Jack, the tom, having a roll

Love this casual immediate sketch (I mean casual in a very complimentary way). You've just caught Ginger-Jack in mid roll and it has the whole feeling of a cat luxuriating in a comfy spot. Well done.

Thank you Thea. I think Ginger Jack enjoyed his rolls!

What can I say wonderful...do you have a blog Selina or contribute to the Forum that way we can talk to you in a more informal manner...it would be nice to chat

Patsy, thank you for all the comments you have made. I do not have a blog.... perhaps I need to start one. I am very new to all this

Hi Selina thought I would write to you here because I havn't been onto the blog yet and I'm not sure if you have set one up or not...here is good enough though much the same...I love the confident way you lay in your ink strokes...I use to be able to do that now I'm so careful...now got to get away from that and just do it after all there's plenty of paper and paint...and I'm now collecting inks week by week...our Tutor asks for Indian Ink which I have and I had forgotten how wonderful it was to feel the nib on the paper...putting the work into water sounds interesting...I had planned to paint tonight but Daughter came so it got too late...I only really get time at night if all goes well...thanks for your reply Selina good to hear from you

Hi Selina thanks for your comments on Miss Prim and my allium seedheads. I love this sketch of Ginger-Jack ... my cat Dizzy is usually in the same pose and loves having her belly rubbed (unusual for a cat I wouldn't recommend it usually but I have "trained" her so she likes it. Your rat family is great too.

LOVELY Kitty Selina. Your drawings are wonderful. I really feel the cat!

You let us know subjects are just around us. I love cats.but i feel it too difficult to paint. however, you tried to encourage "don't hesitate, Try!'' Thank you for great piece.

Thank you Midori. It is better to try and get it all wrong than not try at all. Trying drawing your cats but do not try to get it perfect. If you keep trying enough times it will get better.

I met this feline gentleman whilst staying with a friend and he was a regular visitor from next door. He had a great passion for rolling around on the floor whilst the TV was on and rubbing against the footstool. Pen and ink, with coloured pencils.
