I am a keen gardener and I use my garden for inspiration a great deal so I was drawn to this work, it is well done, great composition and I like the way you have made the petals appear very lightweight, so many artists paint poppies but make the petals appear too heavy!

hi and many thanks for your comments about this piece Annie. i should really get a grip and paint more so will endeavour to post some more over the coming months. My partner Clare is the same, lives in the garden and i have many photos of the flowers waiting for paper or canvas works. thanks again.
