The Cargo is Courage
12 x 16 inches. Oils on MDF. A portrait of a Westland Lysander as used by the SOE to deliver and collect agents to and from occupied Europe. An interesting image to attempt with the need to research not just the aircraft but the Needles and the Lighthouse. It now has a helipad on top - wouldn't do to include on a painting of 1942 vintage. I keep adding these aviation works in the hope that the powers that be might add aviation to the list of subjects
