A powerful piece of work, Michael.

a well painted example of man´s ingenuity when it comes to military matters

superb, a great rendering of an historical vessel. super technique.

Thanks everyone for your positive comments. It's interesting to note that only the Japanese took this concept any further, building some very large subs with aircraft hangars during WWII.

An absolute superb painting, just love your work. I have just posted a marine painting myself. Just love the subject, but sadly not painted much, since I have joined this Webb site, my eyes have certainly been opened with the variety of work, no matter what the media.

Tragic story, but marvellous painting.

Lovely sea and vessel, excellent motion felt and realistic too!
