These water lilies look so fresh and vital Sarah! The variants of green and mid brown for the lily pads add richness and float too! How lovely they bloomed for you to paint and well done!

Watercolour. I painted this on Sunday and it was so hot the paint was drying immediately, giving some interesting effects! They are miniature water lilies in a tub pond I made during lockdown. Its the first year they have flowered so thought I ought to mark the occasion with a painting!
