Wow!, this is one of the best paintings I've seen for some time - top work Satu.

So well put together Satu, the colours and shapes just work so well. We know exactly where it is just from those well positioned blocks of colour and it's the sort of work I love to see. I like the addition of the crane as well. There seem to be so many in London at the moment lit up at night which might be another good subject for you? The crane gives it a contemporary look.

I always admire your colour palette Satu and it goes well with this panoramic view .

My daughter lives in Wimbledon Satu and from her upstairs bedrooms, last time I was there, I could see so many red lights over London in the distance. She told me that the bright, twinkly red lights were all the lit up cranes there. Marvelous sight! They'd make a wonderful painting I think, dark sky, outlines of buildings and tall lit up cranes...am I tempting you to paint the subject yet? LOL

Satu, perhaps you might find it easier starting with smaller abstracts first? However, it does sound from the comments as if you have other London paintings to do. London at night sounds good and could be a good pairing for this painting if you wanted to do it.

As for the smaller abstracts I don't know because I love painting big. Linda, I'm not sure where the photo had been taken from, it was given to me. There's a bridge at the front which I only outlined in the painting.
