What do you do Satu? Make sketches on location then Paint at home? The colouring here gives a good sense of the light.

Well John, there's that marvellous invention called mobile phone with a camera which becomes very handy when you want to catch people in their natural habitat. I use it when I see something interesting that I would like to paint and then do it at home. I love to watch people and their body language in the Tube when total strangers sit next to each other for a couple of minutes. Sometimes they have a short conversation but most of the time they try to ignore the person next to them and turn away.

SUPERB one of my favourites of yours Satu , I do the same Satu I take photos anywhere and often they make nice little paintings , it seems much easier than sketching . I'm not knocking sketching mind . Any way love this painting .

I really really like this Satu. The poses are spot on, the girl's hand, the woman's legs just reaching the floor.Love the painted nails and the suggestion of the specs.

Satu, this has the typical anonimity of travellers on the London Underground, along with the immediate impression made in a transient situation such as this. What would stay with me here, is the pensive look on the face of the girl on the left. What is she thinking? What is going through her mind right now? Very well accented.
