Beautifully atmospheric, with a stunning palette,, Satu! I love the bright, dramatic foreground contrasting with the cool muted hues further back. A painting that truly sings!

The yellow at the front is mainly a new addition to my too big collection of paints and it's called Pale Olive Green. It's very green in the tube but once on paper or canvas it's a very luminous yellow. The photo didn't come out well but gives you an idea of what it is.

Last summer I took a photo of this wonderful seascape in Finland. It was nearly midnight and the birds were quiet and the nature still, waiting for the sun to rise again in the early hours.
