Very abstract take on this painting of he underground Satu but it actually works really well rendered this way, love the colours in the clothing

Very dynamic and full of narrative too.

This is wonderful, Satu. I just can't imagine how you saw this scene and then were able to fragment it into patches of colour which amazingly describe what is going on perfectly! Really skilled and talented work.

Love the texture in this painting and the shapes you have created.

This is very skilled. The colours and composition are wonderful.

This is so colourful and vibrant Satu, it's really excellent. Did you take a photograph of the scene to help with the composition or did you do it from memory? I see things when I'm out and about that inspire me but have real difficulty recreating the scene without a photo for reference.

Wonderful colours and style Satu:)

Thank you all for your very kind comments!! I feel quite humbled . Christine, yes I took two photos to remind me of that girl but otherwise it's all about the feeling of the busy station and a souvenir of a lovely day I spent with two friends that I hadn't seen for well over ten years. Thank you again!

Just great - a skilled posting

Vibrant and engaging. Can't take my eyes of it!

Wonderful Satu. And thanks for the description. It all adds to it.

Wonderful Satu. And thanks for the description. It all adds to it.

Love the energy in this one Satu!

Thank you very much Michael, Paul, Sian and Debs!

I just love your work, for all the reasons already stated. This is just so good.

Thank you so much Gudrun!

A superb piece, Satu! I love the placement of shapes and colors which vibrate against each other, creating a truly lively piece that moves the eye around so effectively. Top notch!

Love everything about this Satu, full of life and movement.

Thank you very much Seok and Fiona for your kind comments!

Great strong image.I like the square proportions and the figures work well

I love your waiting picture. It inspires me to be freer with my acrylics. I have spent so long trying to get things right that I'm loathe to relax and go for it. As a fan of the fauvist artists I love your colours too. Great paint.

Thank you David and Roger ever so much for your encouraging and kind comments! Roger, I must confess that I'm rarely relaxed when I paint and I must reassure myself constantly that I can do what I want and be free to do so. Every canvas for me is an adventure and every stroke of paint is a step further into that wonderful feeling when the finished work is in front of you. Enjoy your acrylics!

I finally managed to finish this painting which I started two weeks ago. I got the idea while waiting for the train to come at Sloane Square underground station in London. The young girl was texting on her mobile and it was her position that caught my eye. Quite a dark place too with the sun shining only on the other side. The colours are not exactly well reproduced on the screen but you'll get the overall picture.
