Still life with Bowl and Fruit

The fruit's good and I like the colours. I've never tried still life either ....

I think this is a good effort Satu, the lighting effect is well described.

I just hate painting still life - glad I did it, years and years ago, because of course you learn a lot from it... But even drawing it fills me with a nameless dread... anyway, enough of all that: I like this - it's not too dark; you have lost and found edges, the cherries add balance and interest, and the colour's warm.

We had to paint a lot of still lifes when I was a child at school - I have never felt tempted to try one since LOL. Your bowl is perfect, Satu. The elipses are good, it sits just right on its base. And I like that blue colour on the table

I rather like the dark look which is reminiscent of the look of a painting of the old masters as it has that richness of colour which is so glorious. Lovely work, Satu.
