Now that is a wonderful wave, the sort I see when walking my dog on the beach. Smashing.

This is wonderful, so light and full of movement.

Fantastic! I love this painting.

Thank you ladies, Jeannette it was plein air in a force 9 gale ....car door window down! Sarah

Hello Sarah, So many things about painting the sea to learn from in this painting. I wondered when I saw Arran good to hear from you.

Quite spectacular, a beautiful near monochrome...I like what I see in it...

How did you do all the spray and foam? Masking fluid would be difficult in a car or is it scratching out and sponging?

Thank you Neil, good to be back here. Pleased you like it Phil. Hello Diana...I never use masking fluid or sponges. Apart from the usual wash size brushes I tend to use riggers or reservoir brushes. I use Canson papers which allow much lifting of colour and blending; I started with very pale washes leaving the 'whitest' areas the palest of all. I used a 1/4" flat hog to create the movement of the spray in this painting and finished with Chinese White very wet in wet. Sarah

Love this Sarah and some lovely work you do
