Glen Garry in Winter by Sandra Hugill

Atmospheric, moody sky, Sandra, and I think the contrast in the conifers works really well to bring them forward. What do you think of the High White paper, how was it? I haven't used it myself, but I know some don't find it that white.

Great idea to hide some of the trees with mist, it does get quite misty there are times. I agree a panoramic would not have worked as well. Lovely colors in the sky.

I would agree it's not that white, but its better than the standard especially for snow in my opinion, thanks for the encouragement Kevin.

A winter Glen Garry as seen from the view point on A87, I tried to resist the temptation to paint all the conifers and to use mist to hide some. This is a watercolour on Saunders rough High white paper size is 18" x 12". Thought about panorama for the scene, but it did't look right with this painting.
