Acrylic and pen on MDF (Masonite) panel. H 12†x W20†(30.5cm x 51cm).This is a landscape from Ballstad, a small town in the Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway. The colour of the cottage s fairly typical of Norway and Sweden, the paint being made from iron ore in a town called Falun in Sweden. It is known as Falu Red. I used a combination of Quinacridone Red and Burnt Umber.
